How a swap works
Four steps, zero money. One hour of teaching earns one Skill Credit you can spend on learning anything else.
- 1
List what you know
Post a skill, pick the level you teach and the days you're free. It takes about two minutes.
- 2
Find your match
Filter by campus, category, level and online or in-person until someone's offer meets your wishlist.
- 3
Agree the swap
Send a request with the hours, a date and a note. They accept, decline or counter-propose a time.
- 4
Meet and review
Teach your hour, learn theirs, then mark it complete. Credits move and you both leave a review.
Skill Credits, explained
Every hour you teach adds a credit to your balance. Every hour you learn spends one. Nobody pays, nobody undersells themselves, and a first-year's hour is worth exactly as much as a final-year's.
- New students start with 2 free credits so you can learn before you teach.
- Credits never expire and can't be bought β the only way in is teaching.
- You can go one credit into the negative while a swap is scheduled.
- Group sessions earn a credit per learner, capped at three per hour.
